- Authors
Morrow, Diane Batts
- Abstract
The article discusses the author's view on the works of Father John T. Gillard, chaplain of the Oblate Sisters of Providence in the U.S. He notes that Gillard along with the Oblate Sisters of Providence are dedicated to address social issues surrounding the Catholic Church and the Black Americans. The author stresses that the said priest has endured the goal of convincing white Catholics to embrace their black brothers as equal. Meanwhile, he mentions arguments regarding Gillard's books about black clergy.
