- Title
An Evaluation of the National Association for Music Therapy Undergraduate Academic Curriculum: Part II.
- Authors
Petrie III, George E.
- Abstract
This comprehensive assessment of the NAMT undergraduate curriculum consists of two parts. The first part was published previously and identified a hierarchy of 85 Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) which would constitute an ideal curriculum according to the opinion of professional RMTs surveyed (Petrie, 1989). Part II is presented here with a three- fold purpose: (a) to compare current and ideal curriculum emphasis; (b) to compare perceptual differences among educators, clinical training supervisors, and clinical music therapists; and (c) to identify suggested Intended Learning Outcomes for the internship phase of the undergraduate curriculum.
