WAS THE EGYPTIAN EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?
- Authors
Litke, Joel
- Abstract
The article focuses on the logical implication of the Egyptian exile to their role in the history. Perhaps the exile is the result of national stupidity or a punishment for wrong doings but it is explained that it is the means for God to acquire a nation. God redeemed Israel from the slavery of the pharaohs in a legal and established norms. Their freedom implies the significance of the Egyptian experience because it transformed the nature and mission of the people as a heritage.
