"There is no god and we are his prophets": Cormac McCarthy and Christian Faith.
- Authors
Potts, Matthew L.
- Abstract
An essay on the relationship between Christian belief and fiction is presented. It makes reference to the essay "Has Fiction Lost Its Faith?," by Paul Elie published in December 23, 2012 issue of "The New York Times Book Review." It analyzes the novel "The Road," by Cormac McCarthy that highlights elements of the Christian theology of incarnation and sacrament, faith and morality in response to Elie's claims of faith simply being at the margins of fiction.
