Abstract
The article offers information regarding the costs associated with bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) outbreak in a farm. It mentions that an estimation of the cost of BVD outbreak in Ireland stood at €85 per cow. It says that regions having high persistently infected (PI) animals prevalence will have a cost seven times higher than the cost in regions having low PI prevalence.
