- Abstract
The article examines the compatibility of Islamic law arbitration tribunals with the traditional U.S. notions of justice. It argues that these Islamic tribunals should be implemented in order to expand the ideals of justice of both Americans and Islams. It highlights the American Muslim community, and the historical preference of Islamic societies for arbitration over litigation. It explores the concepts of Islamic law, Islamic theories of arbitration, and justice in the Islamic jurisprudence.
