- Authors
Nomachi, Motoki
- Abstract
The article discusses the areal distribution of the have-perfect in the South Slavic languages, which is one of the most important contributions made by linguist Victor A. Friedman to the Macedonian language as well as other South Slavic languages. Topics discussed include the importance of using the dynamic typology approach to explain the topic, the sociolinguistic background of language contact in the areas and the correlation between have-perfect and the dative of external possession.
