- Title

- Authors
Polanco, Víctor Manuel Delgadillo
- Abstract
This article analyzes, from the perspective of urbanism, a new human right that has turned into a social and political redemption of increasing interest in many major cities of the world, and that fundamentally establishes that cities are for the people and not for private businesses. The text discusses if the realization of this right is possible in the neo-liberal era, as well as the challenges that its realization implicate in the mega-city, with a government that recognizes this right in the sphere of ''political compromises,'' but simultaneously practices urban management that privileges private businesses and contributes to the deepening of socio-spatial inequalities.
