- Abstract
The article explores other significant functions of endopolyploidy as declared by the Institute of Plants Genetics and Crop Plant Research in Gatersleben, Germany. Endopolyploidy is a natural biological process, where distinct ploidy levels occur within an organism brought about either by endoreduplication or by endomitosis. It is significant in distinguishing and maintaining the functional state of a cell and the correlation between cell volume and DNA content necessary for plant development.
