- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Gulliver's Travels," by Jonathan Swift is presented. It explores on the ideas of division and contradiction of text. It examines the irony which embodies a painful, keen-sighted recognition of Gulliver's and Swift's deep and ridiculous division. The author contends that the book rest on inconsistency of denying and trusting reason with respect to Christian humanism, but also show an attitude towards it.
