- Abstract
The article reports on the results of a Personal Genomics Study funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute which aimed to survey direct-consumer (DTC) genetic testing customers in the U.S. Topics discussed include the recruitment of customers of DTC genetic testing from biotechnology companies 23andMe and Pathway Genomics and collection of data relevant to customers' experiences. Customers' understanding of genetics and the clinical utility of pharmacogenomics are mentioned.
