The heights of the two Ukrainian peaks - Hoverla and Pip Ivan located in the Chornohora mountain range - were determined by using Global Navigation Satellite System observations and a global quasi-geoid model. The height of Hoverla, the highest Ukrainian summit, 2056.0 ± 0.5 m, and that of Pip Ivan is 2019.4 ± 0.5 m. The results are several metres lower than the official altitudes.
