- Abstract
Wool fabric was dyed with extract of oak leaves and the effect of mordant on the dyeing properties was explored, the combination dyeing experiments were also carried out by the use of oak leaves pigment and hematoxylin pigment, the effect of the ratio of the two kinds of pigment on dyeing behavior was studied. The result showed that direct dyeing and post-mordant dyeing with Fe2+, Cu2+ and Al3+ can get various color wool fabric, respectively, the measured color fastness of samples mordant by copper sulfate up to grade 4. The combination dyeing samples with oak leaves pigment and hematoxylin pigment were presented regular changes on shade, color depth and color fastness with the two pigment concentration, combination dyeing and mordanting enrich the color.
