- Abstract
The article discusses how the methodology and techniques used in observational cross-sectional studies can also be used in longitudinal studies in balancing comparisons. Three longitudinal studies are presented which includes the Runaway Youth Study, the Gang-joining Study, and the MTA Follow-up Study. The author also discusses when adjustments should be made during the course of the study such as during baseline posttreatment and follow-up assessments.
