- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the mass stranding of short-finned pilot whales, Globicephala macrorhynchus on False Bluff beach in Nicaragua. The marine animals are described based on sex, pectoral filpper length, total straight-line body length and ratio of pectoral flipper to total body length. Other factors considered include the measurements of the tip of snout to fluke notch, dorsal fin height, and blubber thickness.
