- Abstract
The article discusses the significance of Marquesan domestic architecture such as stone pavements, platforms, and terraces in identifying the structural and temporal morphology of Anaho Valley in Nuka Hiva Island, French Polynesia. It provides the chronology of Marquesan house foundations, classification scheme of formal morphology, and a protocol for dating relatively simple architectural features.
