Bacterial isolation from ear samples of clinical cases of canine otitis revealed presence of both gram positive and negative bacteria. Amongst the various pathogens isolated Staphylococcus aureus was the most common pathogen (67.85%) followed by Pseudomonas aeroginosa, in 15 (53.57%), Streptococcus spp. in 11 (39.28%), Proteus spp. in 6 (21.42%), E. coli in 3 (10.71%) and Klebsiella spp. in 1 (3.57%).
