- Abstract
The article analyzes the contents of the personal library of Venanzio Da Fermo, a medical student at the University of Padua who died in 1461. The article discusses his academic works and degrees from the university that were found among his personal possessions, as well as his school books. The collection includes various books on Latin and Greek grammar, a commentary on Aristotle's Rhetoric, and "Loiceta" by Paolo da Pergola. It then lists multiple text books on astronomy and astrology that were found within Da Fermo's personal collection and concludes with a discussion on the interest in astrology which spread to seemingly unrelated academic subjects, such as medicine.
