- Abstract
1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) is the most comprehensive text regulating the International Law of the Sea. Despite it is the first treaty regulating the compulsory settlement of disputes mechanism in International Law, selection of the procedures is given to the States and this caused complexities in practice. MOX Plant case(s) is the most interesting case in international law, particularly in international law of the sea, recently. To date, International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), an arbitral tribunal constituted in accordance with Annex VII of UNCLOS, an arbitral tribunal constituted in accordance with OSPAR Convention and Court of Justice of European Communities claimed jurisdiction over the dispute.
