- Abstract
The article discusses the history surrounding what is referred to as the 2013 Occupy Pinnacle land protest in Jamaica from the 1930s through the early 21st century, with a particular focus on the role that Rastafarians played in the history of protest in the country. An overview of the role that land titles and land tenure play in Jamaican protests is provided. The influence that the Jamaican land rights activist Leonard P. Howell played in Jamaican land protests is discussed.
