- Abstract
The article focuses on the gigaelectronvolt-class laser-based accelerator developed by Nasr Hafz and colleagues. As solution to pressing problems in accelerator technology, the researchers used the laser-wakefield acceleration (LWFA) to generate high-energy electron bunches and combined it with a laser system that delivers high-power laser pulses. It concludes that the work shows that further researches are needed to confirm the dependence of LWFA on the laser and plasma parameters.
