- Abstract
An essay is presented on a research performed on animals by the author and his team concerning multichannel cochlear implant for hearing loss. In the research, electrical stimulation was used to generate sound and how the temporal coding of frequency could be reproduced was further studied. The author states that the multichannel implant was developed by his team to study speech coding in patients for which he and his team were awarded the "Lasker-DeBakey Award for Clinical Medical Research."
