The article focuses on the results of ENCORE1 clinical trial on the efficacy of the lower dose of antiretroviral drug efavirenz, which was the topic discussed at the International AIDS Society (IAS) conference held in Kuala Lumpu, Malaysia in July 2013. Keith Crawford of the U.S. Military HIV Research Program says that the drug will allow doctors to treat more patients. It mentions that the study aims to evaluate the reduction of anemia. Moreover, the dose-optimization trials are discussed.
