- Authors
Feindler, Eva L.; Starr, Karen E.
- Abstract
The article discusses on teaching school children and adolescents to recognize how they feel when they are angry and how they express it. They learn that staying cool gives them power to create more positive outcomes for potentially negative encounters. Through self-assessment and role plays they learn to negotiate conflict constructively and to apply what they have learnt in real life situations. The ACT anger management protocol aims at assessing and controlling anger experience by stream lining the physiological responses, cognitive processes and behavioral responses related to anger control.
