„Leseförderung muss endlich bildungspolitisch höchste Priorität bekommen": Deutscher Bibliotheksverband legt Stellungnahme zu den aktuellen Ergebnissen der PISA-Studie 2022 vor.
- Abstract
The German Library Association (dbv) has released a statement on the results of the PISA study 2022. According to this, German students have achieved the worst results since 2000, especially in the area of reading. Approximately 26 percent of students have not reached the minimum level. The dbv calls on political decision-makers at all levels to initiate measures to promote reading literacy. The association emphasizes that reading promotion must take place early and systematically, as reading literacy is the foundation for lifelong learning. Public libraries play an important role in promoting reading and offer support for families, daycare centers, and primary schools. The dbv has long been advocating for the expansion of reading promotion and supports programs such as "Lesestart 1-2-3" and the "Gütesiegel Buchkita" (Quality Seal Book Daycare).
