- Authors
Foxhall, Kathryn
- Abstract
The article focuses on the public campaign by the American Academy of Pediatrics to include health insurance for all U.S. children in the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program. The academy, together with other organizations such as Families USA, announced at a Washington, D.C. press conference in July 2006 that there are approximately nine million children in the country that are not covered by health insurance. The academy urges pediatricians to sign and circulate for universal coverage on the campaign's Web site.
