- Authors
Cone, David C.; Landman, Adam B.; Gaddis, Gary
- Abstract
The article examines three different methods of estimating the emergency medical services (EMS) transport interval. It emphasizes the importance of accurately estimating and monitoring EMS time intervals for regional planning to ensure access to health care services. Possible changes in health care resource allocation by using the road network methods are highlighted. Other uses of estimates of transport interval beyond examining population-based access to care are also discussed.
