Title
Colorectal Cancer Deaths Down, But Far Too Few Americans Screened for Colon Cancer.
Abstract
The article reports that colorectal cancer deaths are decreasing in the U.S. However, few Americans are screened for colon cancer. Screening rates are found to be worst for minorities, uninsured people and Medicare patients. Screening is important because survival exceeds 90% when colorectal cancer is detected at its earliest, most treatable stage.
