- Title
STAMPS FEATURING DOG GUIDES.
- Abstract
The article reports on the release of postage stamps featuring dogs in action by the Royal Mail in Great Britain as a paid tribute to service dogs, including dog guides. The move marks the first time a set of special stamps has been devoted entirely to these highly trained dogs. The stamps were released in honor of 2008, the U.K. Year of the Assistance Dog. The 78-pence stamp represents the 4,600 dog guides in the country provided by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and features a yellow Labrador retriever named Warwick.
