- Title
LET'S ENCOURAGE SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH.
- Authors
Singleton, J. Allen
- Abstract
The article promotes increasing research programs among junior and senior high schools to develop earlier competence in social science research and to show to the students the value and rewards of such research. The author suggests that since the projects envisioned are time consuming, they can be conducted as a project for an entire class, coordinated either by the teacher or a steering committee of the students. According to the author, a further accomplishment of such a program of applied social science research would be the contacts and relationships developed between the teachers of the social science areas.
