- Abstract
The article reports on the development of a course of study in space science suitable for instruction in the ninth and tenth grades in the secondary school. The participants of the study were part of the top five percent of their class who were recommended by the principals of their schools. The method and research design involved the technique used in developing curricular materials and selection of the fundamental ideas of the physical sciences. The study focused on ideas in the fields of chemistry, physics, astronomy, and mathematics.
