WHY IS THE NUMBER OF SCIENCE STUDENTS NOT INCREASING?
- Authors
Hawkins, J. E.
- Abstract
The article provides information on the reason behind the decrease number of science students in the U.S. The public schools fail to give adequate training in the fundamentals of mathematics, geometry, chemistry and physics. High schools students are allowed to avoid the difficult subjects. Sciences require rigorous training. It takes mental and physical discipline to master sciences. In addressing such matter, teachers must speak out for higher salaries and combat state requirements for their certification.
