- Abstract
The article presents a research on medicinal plant Acanthopanax koreanum conducted to examine the inhibitory effects of its phenolic components such as diterpenoids, triterpenoids and flavonoids, on the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) in human embryonic kidney (293T) cells. Topics include its therapeutic effect in cancer treatment, use of electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and immunomodulatory effect of triterpenoids. The results show increase in NF-kB transcriptional activity.
