- Abstract
The objective of the research was to define a theoretical-methodological framework that explains the contribution that graphic tools and manual representation techniques have in the development of graphic thinking within the architectural student's creative process. The research consisted in the analysis of the use of manual tools for observation, abstraction, interpretation and representation of architectural ideas in different stages of the student's training process. A series of didactic strategies for the development of graphic thinking are analyzed, aimed at strengthening the skills for communication and architectural creativity. The main results obtained allowed us to create a comparative table where the strengths of both manual and digital tools are captured, within the processes of graphic thinking of the architecture student.
