A literary criticism of works on the topic of divorce by English writers Mary Wollstonecraft and John Milton is presented. Works discussed include the books "The Doctrine and Discipline of Divorce" by Milton and "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman" and "The Wrongs of Woman" by Wollstonecraft. The author discusses themes of feminism in the books, gender politics in 18th century England, and Wollstonecraft's criticism of the epic poem "Paradise Lost."
