- Abstract
The article describes changes in the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) Selection lists by examining the transition from the Best Books for Young Adults (BBYA) list to the Best Fiction for Young Adults (BFYA) list. It presents the rationale for changing the list's selection criteria, particularly discussing the increasing number of book lists with more specific differentiations by genre, format, and audience.
