- Title
ESTABLISHING A MARKETING ORGANIZATION FOR HOSPITALS.
- Authors
Campbell, Bruce
- Abstract
The creation of a position for a vice president of marketing in large hospitals, or the establishment of marketing responsibilities under an associate or an assistant administrator or a marketing committee for smaller hospitals, has long been discussed. Hospital marketing literature, however, has failed to address how administrators can establish or formalize such marketing-related functions. This paper places emphasis on eight functional marketing areas for hospitals and concentrates on specific examples for hospitals of varying sizes.
