- Abstract
This study aims to present a mapping of national and international scientific productions on the importance of Financial Education in Elementary Education, highlighting the role of the teacher in this process and pointing out some strategies that can be used, aiming at financial literacy in the environment school. For this, an integrative literature review was carried out between the months of July and August 2023. With regard to the bases, the publications were collected in the following databases: 1) Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and Periodicals CAPES. The search in the databases identified 4419 articles: 155 captured by CAPES and 4264 in the ERIC base. After analyzing titles and abstracts, 46 articles were selected for full reading. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study, 10 articles were selected for the final sample. According to the results, the scarcity of financial education in schools is evident, evidencing a lack of training for teachers. It should be noted that the use of creative methods such as theater and comics, among others, have the potential to make financial learning more attractive. However, the teacher is fundamental in the integration of financial education, requiring continuous training. Thus, it is evident that comprehensive integration of financial education is urgent, requiring collaboration between educators, researchers and policy makers.
