- Abstract
In order to explore the liquefaction-resistance strength characteristics and liquefaction depth of deep saturated sand in underground engineering, liquefaction experimental study by dynamic triaxial was conducted on saturated sandy soil with a buried depth of more than 20 meters in a subway project in Hankou area. The liquefaction characteristics of the deep saturated sandy soil samples were analyzed, and the liquefaction resistance strength curves of the samples were obtained. The seismic liquefaction possibility of deep saturated sandy soil was compared and analyzed based on the liquefaction discrimination methods by dynamic triaxial liquefaction tests and standard penetration tests. The results show that the liquefaction depth of saturated sandy soil foundation in this area can reach more than 20 meters at seismic intensity VII and VIII. The research results can provide reference for the depth of anti-liquefaction treatment in local engineering practice.
