Introduction.
Abstract
The article offers information on a meeting held during November 8-17, 2011 organized by the joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). Topics include the safe food supply, human health risks and issues regarding residues of veterinary drugs. It also details several tasks before the committee which includes estimation of chronic dietary exposure to residues of veterinary drugs, evaluation of residues in veterinary drugs and establish of acceptable daily intakes (ADIs).
