Title
Researchers Replace Cyanide in Gold Extraction.
Abstract
The article reports on a method for extracting gold and silver from multicomponent solutions that has been developed by researchers from the Krasnoyarsk State University and the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry. In this new method, the reagent forms a complex with both gold and silver, and a compound is obtained in which the central atom of the metal is surrounded by several ions of thiocyanate.
