- Title
De Matta a Bolaño: el infrarrealismo en perspectiva.
- Authors
Díaz, Ana María
- Abstract
Popularization of the infrarrealist movement, known as the beginning of several poetic careers in 1975's Mexico, has evolved beyond disciplinary and national borders until it pinned Roberto Bolaño's narrative imaginary and, correspondingly, a shared aesthetic with postboom novels. However, the present research aims to explore the inception of the term in the essays and canvases of the chilean painter Roberto Matta. His surrealist origins will allow to catch a glimpse of the strong bonds the concept maintained with the Avant-garde, and also to establish the characteristics it shared but also that kept it aside from the project finally undertook by Bolaño.
