- Abstract
The aim of the study was to compare the serum biochemical values of White Roman male goslings in cool and hot seasons, fifteen males of 4 weeks of age of White Roman geese were used to collect the blood samples in cool (February 2021) and hot (June 2020) seasons, individually for the analysis of serum biochemical values. The concentration of the blood glucose, triglycerides, sodium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus in cool and hot seasons were 198.93 ± 16.79 mg/dL and 215.27 ± 14.61 mg/dL, 62.67 ± 11.31 mg/dL and 139.93 ± 33.87 mg/dL, 136.47 ± 4.78 meq/L and 140.00 ± 3.16 meq/L, 4.06 ± 0.45 meq/L and 2.48 ± 0.34 meq/L, 10.53 ± 0.29 mg/dL and 11.45 ± 0.14 mg/dL, 7.93 ± 0.54 mg/dL and 7.28 ± 0.50 mg/dL, respectively. The results showed that the potassium and phosphorus contents of the serum of White Roman male goslings in the hot season were significantly lower than those in the cool season, and the blood glucose, triglycerides, sodium and calcium contents of the serum of White Roman male goslings in the cold season are significantly lower than those in the hot season. The conclusion showed that the season affected the serum biochemical value of White Roman goslings.
