- Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the differences of preoperative core needle and open surgical biopsy for the clinical prognosis of patients with breast cancer so as to provide a reference for the clinical researches. Methods: 380 cases with early breast cancer who were treated in our hospital from December 2010 to December 2014 were chosen, and according to the different diagnostic methods, the patients were divided into the preoperative core needle group (n=92) and the open surgery group (n=288). The clinical indicators and the level of disease-free survival of the two groups were observed and compared. Results: There was no statistically significant about the age, the incidence of lymph node metastasis, the tumor grades, the positive expression rate of ER, PR and HER-2 between the two groups (P>0.05). The proportion of patients with tumor diameter ≥ 2 cm in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant about the disease-free survival rates of 24 months after surgery in the study group (98.91%) and the control group (99.65 %) (P>0.05). There was no statistically significant about the disease-free survival rates of 36 months after surgery in the study group (95.65%) and the control group (96.18%) (P>0.05). Conclusions: The core needle biopsies of early breast cancer patients before surgery has not significant effect, and it can be used as an effective method of clinical diagnosis of the patient's condition.
