Abstract
The article reports testimonies of doctors and colleagues who worked with embryologist Robert Edwards in the 1990s. The people who wrote about their experiences with Edwards, included mothers who gave birth to children conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF). The tributes describe the clinical work of Bob Edwards on IVF, and how it opened many opportunities for scientists, doctors and patients alike. It notes that IVF was given the Nobel Prize only in 2010.
