The article discusses the reported liability that is imposed on colleges and universities in the U.S. in regards to on-campus bicycle use as of April 2014, focusing on American premises liability laws, affirmative defenses, and the legal aspects of bike share programs. Recreational use statutes and America's assumption of the risk legal doctrine are mentioned, along with the Texas Supreme Court case which deals with a cyclist who was allegedly injured in an on-campus accident.
