- Abstract
This article presents the case reports of two patients with periocular contact dermatitis due to atropine eyedrops. Atropine and related drugs are widely used therapeutic agents. They find application in ophthalmology, anesthesia and cardiac and gastro-intestinal diseases. In the first case, an old woman was referred with swelling and redness of both eyelids. She had used atropine eyedrops along with other eyedrops. In the second case, a man had been referred with swelling, erythema and crusting of the right eyelid. Twelve years ago, a new lens had been implanted in his right eye. He had used atropine eyedrops in his right eye for 6 months.
