Chlorphenesin has antibacterial, antifungal and antitrichomonal properties and is used mainly in the prevention and treatment of dermatophytosis of the feet and other sites. It is available as an ointment, a dusting powder and an aerosol sprays as well as in pessaries fungal and trichomonal infections of the vagina. Only two other cases of proven contact allergic dermatitis are reported.
