- Abstract
With unique three-dimensional (3D) module imaging and multiangle compression-cutting technology, 360°-3D-TVS is a nascent imaging modality that has been used to examine anorectal lesions and guide needle placement during high-dose-rate interstitial gynecological brachytherapy3,4. (c) 360°-3D-TVS reconstruction showed clearly that the lesion originated from the posterior fornix of the vagina, close to the cervix and rectal wall, but did not invade the cervix or rectum. Lesions of the vagina are relatively rare, and primary vaginal cancer accounts for only 1-2% of cases of female genital-tract malignancy1.
