- Abstract
Conclusions Transvaginal ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of uterine fibroids can be a treatment option for premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding reducing the size of the fibroids and controlling bleeding with no side effects. Methods Retrospective study of premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding with submucosal or intramural cavity-distorting fibroids undergoing outpatient transvaginal ultrasound-guided Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of uterine fibroids in the last 2 years. To determine the usefulness of uterine guided vaginal Radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of uterine fibroids in premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding.
